Who is @yotsub4

My name is Christine, the mind and hands behind The Little World of Yotsuba & Clan. I live and work in sunny city-state Singapore. I am an ordinary person with ordinary interests, who just happens to collect Blythe dolls.

How it began
It all began in early 2012 when a friend told me about her Blythes and her doll customising work. I had planned to make a dolly outfit for her as a gift and, to that end, I began gazing into the looking glass. The gift didn't get made. Instead, in December 2012, I went down the rabbit hole.

That December, my friend gifted to me my first Blythe. She was a factory Blythe with a tan and ginger hair. Shortly after, I received my first genuine Takara Blythe—Ayanami Rei, a gift from my husband. It was fate. We were on vacation and came upon a Junie Moon pop-up store at Isetan JR Kyoto Station.

What it's become

What began as a hobby became a refuge, a solace, a world of creative possibilities. Over the years, I have adopted many girls. They complement my other passions. They come travelling with me. They inspire me to sew dolly clothes, set up miniature dioramas, shoot photos.

There is something truly fascinating yet terrifying about combining Blythe with my other passions.
